Sofía Marin

Sofía is the new Higher Education Program Coordinator for the Strategic Data Project at CEPR. She graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Sociology with honors and a minor in Political Science. While at BU, she worked as a Program Coordinator in the Orientation office, where she planned welcome events and led orientation staff during both the summer and academic year. She also interned at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center, a research center focused on the study of cyberspace.Sofía completed an honors thesis in Sociology examining how neoliberal and postfeminist ideas appear in women’s social media aesthetics, focusing on the “clean girl” trend on TikTok and Instagram. Before joining CEPR, she worked as a Research Associate at an executive search firm, serving the higher education and nonprofit sectors to place key leaders.Outside of SDP, Sofía enjoys reading, running, baking, and spending time with her cat, Maple.
