Miriam is the Senior Director of the Strategic Data Project overseeing CEPR’s professional development and training programs and working to help education organizations build and sustain data-driven leadership and research capacity. She provides direction and support for the Strategic Data Project Fellowship, the SDP Institute for Leadership in Analytics, and the Partnering in Education Research Fellowship, among other key  initiatives. Miriam also contributes to strategic leadership activities for the Center and supports the growth and development of CEPR's internal and external outreach communications. Her work has been published in Education Administration Quarterly, Education Week, and Usable Knowledge, among others publications.

Previously, Miriam directed evaluation projects related to teacher effectiveness, including CEPR's Best Foot Forward project, a research study designed to determine whether video technology can improve classroom observations. Prior to joining the CEPR, Miriam managed strategic communications for the assessment and evaluation department at The New Teacher Project (TNTP). She played a critical role in the organization’s knowledge management strategy and helped launch performance-based teacher certification programs in Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Illinois. Miriam also worked in curriculum development, designing instruction for education organizations in New York City and Berkeley, as well as for Bayview Correctional Facility. Miriam earned her master's degree in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
