#  Metric Deep Dive for Supply: STEP Forward with Data Framework 

 



The [STEP Forward with Data Framework Metric Deep Dive for Supply](https://media.childtrends.org/media/Supply-Deep-Dive.pdf) from [Child Trends](https://www.childtrends.org/) provides agencies and partners with various metrics that can be used to measure supply and demand, along with suggested measurement and suggested ways to collect these data if they do not already exist. These metrics can be used to help brainstorm what is feasible to examine given available data within an agency.

This tool is part of [**Preschool Supply & Demand**](https://sdp.cepr.harvard.edu/preschool-supply-and-demand-toolkit)**,** a collaboration between the Strategic Data Project and representatives from the California Department of Education, Denver Public Schools, Denver Preschool Program, South Carolina First Steps, Chicago Early Childhood Integrated Data System, National Head Start Association, Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and Washington Education Research and Data Center. It is supported by the Gates Foundation.
