The Data Quality Documentation template helps document data quality issues, decisions, and caveats for each data source used in your PreK–2 longitudinal analysis. Once completed, it will support transparent analysis, honest stakeholder communication, and replicability over time. At the end of the template, you'll complete a final overall data quality summary to document cross-cutting quality issues, overarching limitations, and any decisions that should be applied to the full analysis as a whole.

This tool is part of [**The** **Early Learning Journey**](https://sdp.cepr.harvard.edu/early-learning-journey-connecting-preschool-data-elementary-outcomes)**,** a collaboration between the Strategic Data Project and representatives from Boston Public Schools, the California Department of Education, Chicago Public Schools, the D.C. Office of the State Superintendent of Education, and the Washington State Education Research and Data Center. It is supported by the Gates Foundation.
